Back in July, I picked up an injury right around my ribs on the left side. It was tender to the touch, though nothing too intense at the time. I didn't bother seeing a doctor immediately, and eventually, the pain just faded away—now I can even sleep on that side without a second thought! However, I eventually noticed that the area looks a bit deformed, almost like one rib is protruding outward. It started getting under my skin, so I finally went in for a checkup about two weeks ago.

The doctor sent me off for some imaging, and when I got my results back, she told me there was absolutely nothing to worry about since there were no fractures, and sent me on my way.
Has anyone else dealt with something similar? Should I actually be concerned?
Also, is there any way to get the rib to settle back into place through things like exercise or swimming? A buddy of mine had a similar issue, and his doctor mentioned swimming might help realign the bone, but I'm not sure how much truth there is to that. It's honestly driving me a little crazy!
