So, I’ve been thinking... I really want to drop about 45 pounds through some super intense training over the next few months. My plan was to spend the first couple of months just building up my stamina first, you know? Just getting the cardio base ready so I don't pass out when things get actually heavy later on.

I'm wondering though, how risky is this kind of approach?

Thanks!

How dangerous is this actually?

Thanks.

it’s not dangerous at all... honestly, it’s a great idea... but you aren't losing any weight if you don't fix your diet.

I’m planning on cutting out all the greasy stuff and sugary snacks, plus most of the heavy seasonings I usually go for.

I’ll probably be grabbing my breakfast and dinner once I'm done with classes at the university. Does anyone have any tips on what I should be eating? Like, how many meals am I actually looking at per day, and are there any supplements worth checking out?

Thanks!

Still in school? So you're basically still a teenager... Honestly, dropping weight that aggressively while your body is still growing might not be the smartest move.

As for the plan, I’d say skipping dinner is usually more effective than cutting out lunch. Also, try to cut back on the bread and pastries as much as you can.🙂

People usually say you should steer clear of dropping more than just a few pounds a month 🤷

And regarding the plan, I think it’d actually work better if you skipped dinner instead of lunch. Also, maybe try cutting back on the bread and pastries a bit🙂

I used to think the same thing—that skipping dinner was better than skipping lunch. But man, I just don't know how anyone finds the time to sit down for a full lunch when they're stuck at school all day.

I didn't mean "drastic" in a crazy way. I just meant losing some weight over the next few months, and then later on, focusing on building up my physique.

Well, "a few months" is pretty vague. If you're talking about losing 20 pounds, I'd say we're looking at at least half a year, maybe longer if you want to do it right.🤔

Personally, I think aiming for one pound a week is the sweet spot. It’s all about pivoting your diet so you actually lose weight while building entirely new lifestyle habits along the way.👍

Otherwise, that weight is just going to creep right back on.😢
