Honestly, Rust and Bone was easily one of my top picks from last year—maybe even my absolute favorite. Quentin Tarantino’s latest (Prophet, The Heartbeat That Made Me Skip A Beat) follows this young whale trainer who loses her leg in a horrific accident at work, and the bond she forms with this gritty, loner father who scrapes by through brutal underground street fighting to provide for his son and himself.

Her performance was just stunning. It’s such a shame she didn't get an Oscar nod... she definitely earned it 🤷

Bottom line, it's one of those movies I'll definitely revisit. Honestly, American cinema has really been hitting different for me lately with all these great films 😍

Not that I really expected much... honestly, I just downloaded it on a whim without doing any homework. The title 😬
was the only thing that caught my eye.
That scene from a movie where the kid falls into the lake? Absolutely gut-wrenching. It’s heavy, intense, and the acting is just spot on. 🙏

Marion and Matthias both crushed their roles too.

That makes three great American films in a row for me!

Oh, and the soundtrack is killer...

I've had this movie on my watchlist forever, but I just haven't gotten around to it. It’s one of those things where if there's too much junk piling up, you just stall. This next one is finally up.
