Sailing tips and advice?

Is it just me, or does absolutely nobody on this forum actually sail? I’m not even talking about those massive commercial vessels; I mean the smaller classes—the Laser sailors, the 470 crews, and all that. Is there really zero interest in that here?

It’s not like I haven't been out on a Laser lately, but honestly, I haven't actually spent any time out on the water in about two years.
Last summer I was hanging out down at Central Park, but we were actually out on a buddy's TikTok, which isn't exactly a high-performance racing vessel, so the whole thing ended up just being one big, ridiculous joke between us.
That same friend of mine owns an Optimist 😁 ,and let me tell you, I definitely learned my lesson the hard way with that one recently.
Since last summer, I've just been messing around on a little dinghy, but I'm really hoping to pick up something decent to sail this coming summer.

Man, I'm starting to get hit with all this nostalgia 😁 .
Once I can clear some space in my schedule, I really need to make a run over to the club.
