Saline solution

Does anyone know how to whip up a saline solution at home for cleaning out my nose and sinuses? What’s the actual ratio for mixing salt and water?

True saline is a precise 0.9% salt concentration.

Just grab some ointment at CVS or pick up a prescription from the local hospital instead of trying to play amateur chemist in your kitchen.

I just had nose surgery, and my doctor told me to use saline solution liberally. Now I’m stuck wondering... what does "liberally" actually mean in this context? Is there a specific number of drops or a certain volume he's looking for? How are you all handling this at home?

Whenever I'm dealing with upper respiratory issues—think nasty colds or sinus congestion—I rely heavily on saline solution. I end up going through two or three of those large bottles every single day

some guy from San Diego told me:
just one teaspoon of salt—I went with sea salt myself—per liter of water. Honestly, tastes fine to me. Pretty sure pharmacies are just mixing up this exact same stuff and selling it for a fortune
