Hey everyone,

I’ve run into a bit of a roadblock lately and I’m hoping someone here might have some insight to offer me. 😁

To give you some context, my job involves reaching out to potential clients via email every single day. I try to be very intentional about this; I don't just blast out mass emails to random lists. Instead, I research specific individuals who I believe would actually find value in what I do, and I send them personalized messages one by one. If they don't show interest after the first reach-out, I respect their space and don't follow up.

I use Gmail to handle my outreach, but I’m using my own professional domain rather than a free @gmail.com address. Each message stays pretty much the same in structure, though I always make sure to tweak the details so it feels tailored to the person I'm contacting.

I’ve been operating this way for quite a while without any issues at all, but a few days ago, I noticed a sudden drop in engagementβ€”it's like my potential clients just stopped responding entirely. After running a few tests, I realized the hard way that my emails are being flagged as spam. At first, I assumed my domain had been blacklisted, so I went ahead and registered an entirely new domain and linked it to my Google account. It worked for the first couple of messages, but then everything started landing in the spam folder again.

So, I'm wondering if anyone knows how to fix this or what my next move should be to get back into people's inboxes. Since it happened even with a brand-new domain, I'm starting to suspect it isn't a domain issue specifically, but maybe my IP address has been flagged or blocked altogether. I’d really appreciate any advice or help you can provide, because honestly, my entire livelihood depends on getting these emails delivered.

Thanks in advance 😁

It’s probably because the same content was blasted out to a massive list of addresses, and some of those recipients likely flagged it as junk. There isn't really a magic fix here... unless a huge chunk of the people who found it in their spam folder actually bother to click "not spam."
Otherwise, if you're checking on Outlook, there’s usually a yellow banner at the top of a message sitting in the spam folder that asks "Why is this message in Spam?"β€”that might give you a clue what went wrong.
