I’ve only managed to catch Battleship Potemkin and a few clips from his other stuff—there was this documentary on FOX recently—but honestly, can we just agree the guy was a straight-up genius?

Does anyone know if his work has been released on DVD?
If not, just let me know who’s sitting on a collection of Dixie.

Honestly, he had a better handle on historical epics than any of the hacks making movies today. I remember catching that documentary on the BBC—seeing those scenes from Ivan the Terrible and that Templar flick... man, what an impression that left on me!

Is there anything of his worth picking up on Dixie?
