Sleeping too much?

Maybe that’s just how your metabolism works and you actually require ten full hours of shut-eye? Honestly, I’m the exact same way—a total sleeper. Even when I try to force myself to wake up earlier, mostly because I feel like I'm wasting the day, especially now that the weather is finally getting nice, I just end up being so cranky that it’s probably better if nobody stays near me... I’ve tried those early mornings where I eat breakfast and have my coffee, but it doesn't matter, my head just starts dropping and I inevitably have to crawl back into bed for another hour or two... Personally, I figure my whole circadian rhythm is just completely shot because of working these rotating shifts, so I can't even tell when it's day or night anymore... As for you, unless there's some thyroid issue or another underlying medical thing going on, it sounds like your body just operates that way... I truly don't know how people manage on only seven or eight hours🙏 or even less, acting all chirpy like little birds, except they aren't exactly chirping...

Seriously?😲 I consider myself lucky if I squeeze in 6 hours. Usually, I'm lucky to hit 4 or 5. Meanwhile, my wife sleeps 10 to 12 hours a day and still acts exhausted...
P.S. When she isn't sleeping, she's just sprawled out on the couch watching TV...😠

There was actually some research conducted by Americans on this subject a while back. The consensus reached was that once you hit age thirteen, the standard requirements for rest and sleep cycles tend to stabilize.
As far as teenagers are concerned, they generally hit their peak cognitive performance in the afternoon, though they still require somewhere between nine and ten hours of sleep every single day to function properly.
Personally, I find myself spending about nine hours a day in bed on average. ^^

Are you Al Bundy?😁 😉
O.T. That's probably just your daily nap quota. There was a time when five hours felt plenty for me... now I need seven just to function.🙄

I honestly need at least nine hours of sleep just to feel somewhat functional—really, even remotely human... because if I only manage to get six or fewer? Well, let's just say I end up throwing my soul out of my body by morning.
