I would like to request a permanent ban, please.

I am really hoping my request can be honored this time, rather than just being deleted like what happened previously. I truly hope you might take me seriously here, because I honestly don't see any reason to act out or be difficult just to force a permanent ban.

What Smith is doing is quite frankly a complete joke in every sense of the word.

I simply have no desire to remain part of a community where people like him are given the authority to moderate.

Jovan Cvijić was a geographer who focused primarily on the very factors you're bringing up, specifically nature rather than humanity, which explains his entire first volume regarding the North American Peninsula. Other authors define geographical boundaries somewhat differently, particularly concerning the inclusion of certain border regions.

Furthermore, Cvijić distinguishes between four different "types of people," with numerous sub-varieties within them, not just two. Most other authors usually mention at least three.

Both Cvijić and many others examine the way certain mental patterns (mentalities) developed in one environment and were then transplanted to a new area with different geographical characteristics. Cvijić makes specific mention of Šumadija, which, after being sparsely populated for centuries, saw an influx of Dinaric settlers during the 18th and 19th centuries.

In fact, this whole question of how mentalities are "transplanted" remains a very relevant topic for us even today.

I’ve been hit with a warning just because I’m participating in a thread I haven't contributed to before, even though I’ve already racked up three warnings on this exact same topic! It feels like I get a strike for every single post I make in the history section, no matter how well-intentioned I try to be.

That whole thread is an absolute disgrace.

The way they’re splitting one people into "peasants" and "bandits"—using pseudo-racial theories and the geography of the American Midwest and the South as their primary justification—is just pathetic.

I’m popping back in after sitting out for about 500 points because apparently, being labeled a lunatic for calling out some guy who posts stuff specifically to violate children in their Catholic asses is where we are now.
Not to mention what he allows a troll like @alanalan to get away with over on the Lašva Valley thread—where he actually posted a link featuring fallen soldiers with a comment basically saying, "look how they're sprawled out on the ground" 👎—or his handling of the HVO ABiH conflict, where he completely trashes scientific papers just based on where someone was born while citing bottom-tier sites like sanela.info, not to mention the whole War in Canadian Posavina topic.

And the post is still sitting there today.
The guy drops the exact same links every couple of days, yet somehow he’s only managed to rack up maybe 50 warning points at most.🤦

As long as Smith has the admins backing him up, he’s gonna keep running this show however he wants.

I checked out of the history discussions a long time ago, and honestly, I'm not coming back until he finally gets the boot.

Smith shuts down threads right when things are actually getting interesting... This site is supposed to be for debating stuff, but he just locks everything up for a few days mid-discussion. And the moderators too. They’re handing out warnings like they're some kind of preschool teacher...

In this specific post, the user labeled me a nationalist—clearly implying chauvinism rather than simple patriotism—and chose to attack people personally instead of addressing their actual arguments (and they did so by using Pavelić's quotes).
