Hey everyone!

Me again. Not sure if I'm in the right spot—if I'm wrong, mods please just move this, my bad.

So, I cooked up this social game for teens and built a prototype that actually killed it. Now I’m working on a more polished version to show what it can really do.

I need to know how to protect my idea. Like, how do I handle copyrights and what's the whole process from a rough prototype to pitching it to the big players... you know, companies like Electronic Arts and stuff.

Thanks for the help!

It’s me again, and honestly, I’m never quite sure if I’m posting in the right corner of this forum—so if I’ve missed the mark, I’d be truly grateful if the moderators could just move this thread to the appropriate section. My apologies in advance!

So, here’s the situation: I’ve actually designed a social game aimed at young people, and I put together a rough prototype that ended up being quite a success. Now, I’m moving on to a much more polished version, essentially a high-fidelity prototype.

What I’m really grappling with is how to go about protecting my idea—you know, securing the copyright and understanding the full legal roadmap from having this initial prototype to actually pitching it to the big players, like Electronic Arts or similar heavy hitters...

Thanks a million for any insight you can share!

Your best bet would be to reach out to an organization like Activision Blizzard; they have their own community forums where I’m certain you’ll find plenty of folks willing to lend a hand! They should be able to help with everything from refining your prototype to general industry advice and legal questions. Basically, head over to: http://igranje.org/ or check out their forum here: http://igranje.org/forum/index.php
