I’ve got this weird pain under my left ribs and down near my hip—about 10 cm left and a few inches down from my navel. It’s hard to even describe. I went to see my doctor, and she basically told me if I keep living like this (eating absolute garbage), I can look forward to some seriously invasive exams once I hit 40. We all know exactly what kind of checkups she meant. Now I'm sitting here wondering... how am I even supposed to eat healthy?
So, what does "healthy eating" actually look like these days?
I've already decided to cut way back on Coke and anything carbonated, which unfortunately includes my one true love, Bud Light.

So, what was the actual point of this thread?

Talking about healthy eating—you can find a thousand threads just like that online.
Are we supposed to be marveling at how much of a diagnostic genius your doctor is?

Seriously though, could you just define the actual question or topic you’re trying to kick off here? Please...🙂

So, what actually counts as healthy food? One crowd says it's all about fiber, then another group tells me fiber is exactly what's causing my gut issues. Makes zero sense.
I need a concrete weekly meal plan—breakfast, lunch, and dinner (and please, make it actually edible). I'm a bit of a foodie, so don't give me plain boiled chicken.

I'm looking for an actual weekly meal plan—breakfast, lunch, dinner (and please, make it edible)... since I'm a total foodie at heart.

And how many of these weekly menus are we talking about, considering you're such a gourmet? Like, maybe ten different ones?

Also, you'll probably need snack ideas too—eating 5 or 6 small meals a day is the way to go if you want to stay healthy. So, if we're building specific weekly plans for our resident foodie here, I'd really appreciate it if someone included snacks in the mix...

Oh come on, why didn't you just ask your amazing doctor for some sample meal plans?

Every single primary care office gets them
They have everything from diabetic diets and weight loss guides to plans for heart health or even managing ulcers...

I mean, what’s the actual point? You just end up with some vague, half-baked list of what you can and can't eat, and honestly, half the time you probably won't even recognize the terms they use. Like, what does "grain-based starch" even mean in practice? I guess it's just more confusion.
