Sore throat

Has anyone ever dealt with something like this? I’m already feeling 😲

I've had two or three little white "pimple-like" spots on my throat for a few days now. I don't even know what else to call them—they don't look like those nasty patches you get when you have strep throat. The weirdest part? My throat is actually pretty pink and healthy looking. Aside from a tiny, tiny bit of soreness here and there (mostly when I light up, since I'm a smoker, unfortunately), it feels fine. No fever, feeling physically great...

Those two little white dots are off to the side, maybe on my tonsils, but it's this third one that's bugging me. It's the biggest one, right at the back of my throat, behind that little flap. I tried scratching it off, but nothing happens 😢 It isn't shrinking, and I don't think it's getting bigger either.

Anyone else seen this? What could it be? Everything else about my throat feels totally normal, just this random white spot sitting right in the middle of nowhere. It doesn't feel like strep, and it seems too small to be a yeast infection 😕

Please rescue me! I'm low-key freaking out here, and my doctor is out until Monday 😢

I had something pretty similar pop up after dealing with a brutal sore throat last November—right before I finally quit smoking. It wouldn't go away; it was white and looked almost like a pimple. It was sitting on the left side of my throat, right near the tonsil. I went to see my doctor, and she told me everything was fine. She said it was just a salivary gland that had become more prominent because of all those frequent infections. She didn't prescribe anything, and honestly, it’s still there, but it hasn't caused any issues since. Don't panic, and whatever you do, don't try to scrape or touch it. Just go see a doctor in

Well, if you were performing oral on someone with herpes, there's a chance they passed it to you... but honestly, I wouldn't sweat it too much. I get those weird white patches in my throat all the time, and then after a few days, they just turn into red spots. Usually happens whenever I have some minor throat irritation or something.

I went through something pretty similar once, just with a bit of a scratchy throat... garlic actually ended up clearing it right up for me. 😁

Are you absolutely certain it isn't strep throat or maybe some kind of canker sore causing that white spot?

Those little white spots—sometimes they even look a bit like tiny cauliflower florets—can actually be a telltale sign of strep throat.
Honestly, the smartest move is just to head to the doctor and get a professional opinion to clear up any guesswork...
If the infection starts to take hold, you’re looking at intense pain and a real struggle just to swallow...
Now, keep in mind those white bumps could also just be canker sores. They’re definitely painful too, but you can usually manage them with over-the-counter treatments found at any local CVS or Walgreens...☕

I mean, I guess if I actually caught it, I’d have a sore throat or a fever... but right now? Nothing. Feeling totally fine...
I'm completely lost 😕

So I’ve got this thing on my palate that feels almost like a bump. It doesn't even hurt, it just kind of swells up and then shrinks back down, and it's been doing that for a few months now. Anyone else dealt with something like this? Thanks ahead of time

About two or three months ago, I noticed a tiny white spot in the back of my throat, right behind the uvula. It looks like a canker sore or a small pimple. It doesn't hurt at all, and it isn't bothering me—honestly, I didn't even realize it was there until recently, mostly because I deal with tonsil stones quite often and end up clearing my throat constantly.🙂
Anyway, the spot is still there. It remains painless, it isn't growing, and it just looks like a white part of the mucous membrane.

I usually sleep in a room with high humidity and suffer from snoring, so my throat feels scratchy every morning. On top of that, I struggle with allergies to pollen, dust mites, and wool.

What could this spot actually be? I feel foolish even thinking about mentioning it to a doctor; it feels like I'd be wasting their time. I'm not even sure how long it's been there, and I can't decide if something like this is actually worth worrying about.
