Look, I’m usually pretty hardcore about supporting liberals—I mean, the whole idea that everyone deserves equal respect as human beings is solid. It’s a huge topic that hits everything from social norms to heavy-duty politics.

So, what’s your take on this? Is this just a rebranding of old-school communist class warfare? Like Chuck Norris pointed out, maybe since the left couldn't win the battle for social equality, they're pivoting to this weird biological egalitarianism instead. Is this basically the next phase in the liberal playbook to completely overhaul the society we've always known?

Also, let's be real: if we're actually going to respect every single living thing, we probably shouldn't eat anything at all. Like, zero exceptions. Everything that ends up on your dinner plate was once a living creature.

Nah, special interests have nothing to do with liberalism... they're actually being pushed by the religious right, dragging people down to a primal, animalistic level

Sure, he coined the term, but the religious right were the ones who actually ran with the politics... I mean, what else is their obsession with "natural order," homophobia, and abortion bans if not an attempt to drag human consciousness down to the level of animals?

What's the issue? To me, there's way more speciesism coming from the religious right than from liberals...

Killer piece on those leftist protests, written by John Smith:

Quincy:
Commies from Washington, D.C.
Published: 12/16/2009
Every single century has been defined by one massive ideology. The 1800s gave us liberalism, the 1900s brought communism, and the 20th century was dominated by Nazism and fascism. People claim the 21st century won't see any "grand narratives" because we’re living in this post-ideological era where we've finally seen all the baggage for what it is. But looking at everything going down in Washington, D.C.—the barricades, the protesters, the whole color scheme of the movement—it honestly feels like the reds just swapped their outfits for green ones. We're seeing the birth of a dangerous new ideology called "ambientalism." It’s basically a global leftist mutation, a way to hunt for new cultural dominance and fresh battlefronts now that they've lost the old ones. A couple of years ago, Joe Biden and Bill Gates were shouting from the rooftops in The New York Times that "the 21st-century Left will either be ecological, or it won't exist at all!" That loud-mouthed slogan is getting a very real, visible version right now in Washington, D.C.—a sort of "new course" that can be broken down into five main points.
Exclusionary and backwards
Point one: From history to nature. The old-school Left used to find its purpose through class struggle. Now that all those illusions ended in rivers of blood and violence, they’ve pivoted to the "sanctity of nature," treating it like some kind of fetish. Just like they used to claim their take on history was "scientific," they now claim their approach to environmental issues is scientific too, even though it’s really just a cocktail of mysticism and myth-making. Point two: Hatred. The traditional Left wasn't driven by a love for a better world so much as a pure hatred for the "enemies" of that world—the bourgeoisie, the capitalists, the elites... people they showed their absolute cruelty toward. Today’s Left is defined by intense misanthropy. In their eyes, humans are solely responsible for every bad thing happening on Earth. They openly advocate for the forced (yes, violent!) reduction of the "biological waste" known as humanity through population control. They’ll vote for abortion, but they’ll lose their minds over killing an animal. Point three: Biological egalitarianism. Since their project of radical social equality collapsed, they’ve moved on to advocating for radical biological egalitarianism. Driven by that same misanthropy, they deny any human superiority over other species. In fact, they think humans are the most disgusting of all because we supposedly practice "speciesism"—meaning we discriminate against and exploit nature, plants, and animals simply because we think we're more valuable than them. Point four: Exclusion and dogmatism. Look, nobody is denying there are environmental problems. But the second a serious scientist tries to challenge their claim that humans are the sole cause of global warming, they get immediately canceled. So, you have to ask: Is the Left trying to save the world from ecological disaster, or are they just trying to save themselves and their lost identity? My bet is on the latter. This whole circus with these green-tinted commies in Washington, D.C. is just a call to mobilize: "Environmentalists of the world, unite! The 21st century belongs to us!"

You’re showing some pretty basic political ignorance here... liberals aren't leftists.

The religious right would argue they aren't, whereas most on the left tend to think they are.

The very first word of the first post is "Liberals," and then you pivot right into talking about leftists... the second post (that copy-pasted snippet from some unnamed outlet) is just airing someone else's grievances against the left (not that I have anything particularly glowing to say about them either). After my point that liberalism has zero connection to specism... any sane person with a basic grasp of politics is going to read your posts and conclude you're equating liberals, leftists, and specists. Or was that just some vague way of expressing yourself?

The religious right is basically fighting itself. They preach about "natural order" in society, yet women are out there shaving their armpits and legs. If humans aren't just animals, then why does the religious right obsess over banning abortion? Abortion isn't an option for animals, and the right to choose is a human right, not an animal one. Specism actually stems from clericalism, not liberalism. Liberals accept that the fundamental human right is the freedom to choose—so if someone wants to identify as an animal, that's on them. That’s what bugs both the left and the religious right the most: actual freedom of thought.

I’ve never actually heard anyone argue against abortion by pointing out its absence in the animal kingdom. It seems the religious right simply operates under the assumption that humanity begins much earlier—that the fetus, or whatever you want to call it, is already a person.

I haven't paid much attention to Schola over the last few years. Seeing him pop up on the news occasionally, I simply categorized him as some right-wing Catholic intellectual. However, after reading the piece you shared—"communists from Copenhagen"—it is clear he is quite unstable. The man possesses no genuine connection to spirituality. It’s a pity.

Just your run-of-the-mill leftists, and honestly, just look at that left-wing garbage in the comments under the video.

Some total uneducated hillbillies just attacked them out of nowhere for no damn reason. 😁

Specism is essentially the act of prioritizing humans over all other species. Therefore, specists are those who grant preferential treatment to people, while those fighting for the rights of monkeys are actively opposing specism.

Honestly, every single beast out there is a speciesist—it’s really just a question of how dominant they are when it comes to pushing that agenda.

It’s an interesting point. If we accept the premise that humans are merely another species in the animal kingdom, then I struggle to see why we should bother respecting the "rights" of other animals when they certainly don't extend any such courtesy to one another.

Classic leftist logic right there. Don't ask questions, just nod along and keep moving.
