Hello, everyone.
I’m 22 years old, my appetite is usually perfect—I can eat anything in sight without an issue—and I’ve never had any health problems before this (knock on wood)
To get straight to the point... about three or four weeks ago, I started dealing with some stomach nausea and this constant, nagging cramping sensation. My diet hasn't changed at all. My bowel movements were pretty standard, nothing unusual there. I went to see my doctor, and she initially suspected gastritis (which, frankly, felt like a lifetime sentence😁), but that wasn't the case. She prescribed some medication, but after taking just two pills, I felt incredibly nauseous—like I was on the verge of vomiting, though I couldn't actually go. I slept it off for a day, used the bathroom, and everything seemed back to normal. It was as if nothing had ever happened. My mother dealt with similar issues, though she couldn't shake hers until she actually started vomiting.
Fast forward to three weeks later... I had one single spicy kebab skewer today (it was a bit too hot for my liking, so I stopped eating immediately), and now, by this afternoon, the exact same symptoms from three weeks ago have returned.
Is this because of the food, or could it be some lingering bacterial issue from that first episode? Should I head back to the doctor, or... ??? I'm losing my mind here...!!!!
It feels like my stomach isn't even part of my body...😁 I can't tell if I'm hungry or full. I just got home from a night shift and tried to wolf down two bananas, and my stomach started aching again... I want to eat, but I just can't.
Like I said, I've never experienced anything quite like this before... I assume nobody is going to laugh at me for being this clueless...😁ž
Cheers...

And just how long does this whole ordeal typically drag on? Some people are claiming it’s only a week or two... is that actually realistic?

I’m 22 years old, I eat like a normal person, and my weight is rock solid. Everything is perfect—knock on wood.
I’ll get straight to the point. About three or four weeks ago, I started dealing with this constant nausea and these nagging little cramps in my stomach. My diet hadn't changed at all—I was eating just fine—and my digestion seemed pretty standard, nothing unusual in terms of color or consistency. I went to see my doctor, and she immediately pegged it as gastritis. Honestly, that diagnosis felt like a total gut punch; it's one of those labels that makes you feel like you've just lost two years off your life expectancy.😁It didn't work, honestly. She handed me some pills, but I only managed to swallow two before my stomach started doing somersaults. I felt incredibly nauseous—like I was about to heave—but nothing would come up. I just slept through an entire day, and once I finally hit the bathroom, everything cleared right out. It was like the whole issue had vanished into thin air. My mother dealt with the exact same thing, though she couldn't get any relief until she actually started vomiting.
It’s been three weeks now... I tried one of those spicy chicken skewers—just one stick, actually, because it was a bit too hot for my liking and I had to stop—but by this afternoon, I'm dealing with the exact same issues I was having three weeks ago.
Is this just some reaction to those burgers I grabbed, or am I dealing with some leftover bacteria from that bug I had three weeks ago? I’m losing my mind here. Should I bother heading back to the doctor, or am I just spinning my wheels? I'm going crazy...!!!!
It feels like my stomach belongs to someone else entirely...😁 I can’t tell if I’m actually hungry or just full. I just got home from the graveyard shift, inhaled two bananas, and now my stomach is already cramping up again. It’s the weirdest thing—my brain is screaming for food, but my gut is completely shutting me down.
Look, I’ve honestly never had anything in my life that felt truly "new" to me... I guess I'm just wired that way. I hope nobody’s going to sit here and laugh at me for saying that.😁ž
Hey there.

You’re better off just getting a referral for a gastroenterologist. It could be gallstones, but honestly, there are plenty of other underlying issues that could be causing this.
Peptoran is basically my first line of defense when things start going south.

Hey everyone,
I actually went through something pretty similar myself. I ended up getting a urea breath test, and it turns out I had *Helicobacter pylori*. If you don't get that dealt with, you're looking at potentially developing chronic gastritis down the road.
One of the symptoms of an *H. pylori* infection can be iron deficiency, but honestly, you really shouldn't guess—just go see a gastroenterologist.

They finally fixed the forum.... 🙂
Can someone please walk me through what the symptoms are supposed to look like? Since I posted last, things have mostly leveled out... more or less. Well, except for those two bananas, which actually hurt more than being hungry would have. For a day or two, my appetite was basically non-existent, and I had this bizarre lingering taste in my mouth. It wasn't nausea, per se, just a complete lack of interest in food. Honestly, I’m not even sure anymore. Once I eat, the pain subsides... though I do get some occasional rumbling in my gut after a meal. Just every now and then.
My stools are still a bit soft....
But it doesn't matter; I’ve got an appointment with my doctor tomorrow anyway. What are your thoughts?

Oh, and one more thing... ever since this started, it feels like I'm eating more. Or maybe it’s just my imagination? I eat my fill, yet I seem to get hungry again much faster than usual...???? Is it just me, or am I losing my mind here? 🤷😁😁😁
