Honestly, I’m at my wits' end here—I've been dealing with constant diarrhea and bloating since Saturday, and there’s this unsettling, restless sensation in my gut that just won't quit. I have no idea what to do about it 🤷 I've already switched over to a strict diet and I've been sipping on herbal tea, but I really need to know how to make this stop 😢 if anyone could please point me in the right direction..
Does anyone know if there is a specific antibiotic or a particular medication I could ask my family to pick up for me at a local CVS or Walgreens? What would be the smartest move to take in a situation like this?

Is there some kind of antibiotic or medication I could have someone pick up for me at a CVS or something? What’s the best way to handle this?

Antibiotics? Are you kidding me?👎 You need probiotics. Get some Align LGG and have someone run to the drugstore for some Red Bull.

...perhaps you could look into some high-quality probiotics, like Align or those other specialized capsules they carry at CVS or Walgreens—there are quite a few options available if you look closely. I suppose sipping on some fennel tea or perhaps a bit of peppermint might offer some relief as well. It might be wise to steer clear of dairy products for a little while, at least until things start feeling a bit more settled 🙂

It isn't just about avoiding dairy. You really need to focus on restoring the balance in your gut flora, which basically got flushed out by that diarrhea.

Precisely!👍

Is there maybe an antibiotic or some specific med I could order online so my folks can just grab it at a CVS or something? What's actually the best way to handle this mess?

Try putting a tiny spoonful of ground coffee straight in your mouth and wash it down with water until you've rinsed every bit out. It tastes pretty gross, honestly, but I swear it works! I mean, damn, if it helps your health—or just helps you not deal with this crap—you'd swallow just about anything!

Activated charcoal...

if things don't clear up in a couple of days—get to a doctor immediately...🤷

rapidmaker10 said:Activated charcoal... it’s one of those things people love to throw around like it’s some kind of magic bullet for everything from bloating to accidental poisonings. Look, I get the appeal. It’s intuitive—you swallow this black dust, it acts like a sponge in your gut, and boom, the toxins are gone. It’s a classic "vacuum cleaner" analogy that makes perfect sense on paper. But we need to be realistic about how much of this is actual science and how much is just wellness influencers chasing clout. Sure, in an ER setting, doctors at places like Mayo Clinic use it for specific types of overdoses because it can bind to certain chemicals before they hit your bloodstream. That’s legitimate medicine. But when you see someone posting about drinking charcoal lattes to "detox" after a night out in Chicago? That’s where we need to tap the brakes. The problem is that charcoal isn't exactly a precision instrument. It doesn't have a GPS for toxins. It’s more like a giant net thrown into the ocean; you might catch the fish you're looking for, but you're also going to snag all the coral and seaweed along with it. Specifically, it can mess with your nutrient absorption. If you take it right after a healthy meal, you aren't just sucking up the bad stuff; you're essentially flushing your vitamins and minerals straight down the toilet. You're neutralizing the very things your body actually needs to function. It’s not inherently bad, but it’s definitely not a miracle cure-all. Treat it like a specialized tool, not a daily supplement. Use it when there's a genuine medical necessity, but don't go thinking you can sweep away a bad lifestyle with a handful of black powder.

If this doesn't clear up in the next couple of days, I’m heading straight to the doctor.🤷

Activated charcoal is your go-to for stomach issues because it basically acts like a magnet, binding to everything alive in your system and neutralizing it. It’s fantastic for killing heartburn, and you'll see it used in serious cases of poisoning too. The real battleground, though, is in your gut.

Activated charcoal stops diarrhea by using its massive surface area to bind harmful toxins within the digestive tract. It’s a particularly great option because it's completely safe and non-toxic; since it isn't absorbed by the body, it simply passes through along with the impurities it's trapped. This makes it perfectly fine for children and pregnant women to use without any worry.

Great, then why don't you just pass out the stuff like candy?👍 They tried telling me it was strictly for when you've swallowed something poisonous.🙄

Whenever I get hit with something like that, I just pour myself a tiny little shot—maybe a quarter ounce—of that herbal liqueur, you know, the one in the round dark bottle with the red cross on it... and after a few hours, I'm usually good to go. 🙂
