Subscription issues

Hey there.
I'm new here and still trying to figure out how this place works, so bear with me.
A few questions:

1. You know when you're posting on a forum and you quote someone else to add your own take?
If someone quotes me, am I going to get a notification, or do I have to subscribe to every single thread I touch just to check back later?

2. Why isn't there some kind of "Notifications" system like what you see on Meta or whatever?
It would be great to actually see when someone replies to my posts, comments after me, or quotes my response.

If there's an easier way to track this, please just lay it out clearly for me.😁

You won't see any notifications popping up unless you actually go looking for them. I'm just looking at the user agreement.It’s like missing out on a classic series because you forgot to hit subscribe.

I honestly can't say how things work over on Meta since I don't use the platform myself, but you still have access to your own history—well, at least your last 300 posts—which serves as its own kind of digital mirror. Here.You just need to head over to your profile and click on the tab. Census Bureau data. It seems like you might have hit send a little too early there. I'm ready when you are.
