hey, can someone walk me through this—how does subscribing to a topic even work? I haven't actually clicked subscribe on anything, yet somehow a thread popped up saying I'm "subscribed"... how does that even happen?
Is it just automatic or something? Because I definitely didn't touch any settings...
And what does being subscribed even mean? Am I getting charged for this, and if so, how...?
THANKS. 😬

No, there’s no charge—subscribing just means you get a WhatsApp notification when someone replies to a thread you're following.

You can either set it up to automatically subscribe you to everything you reply to (that's what I do, though you can customize your notification preferences), or you can go into the thread tools and pick specific topics to follow if you just want to lurk without posting.

There’s an "Unsubscribe from all" link in your settings that clears everything out instantly if you click it.

Check your settings to see if auto-subscribe is turned on; if you don't want it, just switch it off.

What’s your take? Is it throwing an error or something?

It isn't throwing any error messages at all
Everything looks like it went through perfectly fine, but my subscription still hasn't updated
I tried a few times and figured I'd just come here and ask
