Super weird internet issues

Hey guys, I’m dealing with this super weird internet issue. I’m on AT&T using a Thompson TG782i router, and basically, everything works fine until it just suddenly freezes up. It’s not even like the connection actually drops—it just hangs. But then, if I jump on my phone via Wi-Fi and open any webpage, everything suddenly snaps back to normal and starts working again. Then, about half an hour or an hour later, it happens all over again. I don't get it, because it's definitely not your typical connection drop. Has anyone else run into something like this?

So, how’s the computer connected? Are we talking Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable?
If you're on a cable, try swapping the ports on the router—if it’s plugged into the first one, move it to the second or third... sometimes those ports just act up.

If that doesn't do the trick, just call Comcast and tell them the router is being a total pain. When the technician actually shows up, tell him you want someone else sent out—tell him this specific unit is being temperamental and comes and goes whenever it feels like it.
