Quick question about surgery and hospital recovery: I know they run a bunch of tests before you go under—like a full blood panel—but does anyone know if those standard labs actually include HIV and hepatitis screening? I mean, if a patient is positive, the doctors really ought to be in the loop during surgery just to keep themselves safe, right?🤷?

I'm pretty sure they run those tests on a regular basis.

So I hear they don't even bother with routine testing—it's basically non-existent. They only step in if there’s some actual stabbing incident or whatever.

That's how medical staff and doctors end up getting infected without any real protection

Well, look on the bright side! In Romania, they were so obsessed with cutting costs that they wouldn't even bother using gloves, at least not on a regular basis.
