Hey
Got punched in the face yesterday and had to get it stitched up. I went to the ER at Mount Sinai to get help, but I don't have supplemental insurance.
I'm 18 and haven't applied for any extra coverage yet since I just started my regular undergrad program (does that make it free?).
Roughly how much is this gonna cost me? And will I even be charged if it was just 5 or 6 stitches? Is there any way to dodge the bill entirely?
The hospital staff didn't tell me anything about the costs; they just said I’d have to talk to my primary care doctor during my follow-up appointment.
Thanks
