It’s official: Terrence Malick is directing a film about the final days of Che Guevara. Benicio Del Toro is set to play Che, alongside Javier Bardem.
Apparently, Terrence Malick was actually there when Che Guevara was killed; he was supposed to be writing for the New Yorker about Che Guevara's guerrilla fighters.
The budget is sitting at $40 million.
I have to admit, I am incredibly eager to see this, especially since Terrence Malick doesn't direct all that often...
He’s actually moving a bit fast here, considering it hasn't even been 20 years since *The Thin Red Line*.
Or perhaps he just likes directing two films in quick succession.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Benicio Del Toro lands an Oscar nomination for this.
