Hey everyone, I’ve been scrolling through the boards for a bit, but I haven't really seen anything that hits close to my situation...
To get straight to the point—I'm 17, and I haven't actually been playing for any organized clubs for about a year and a half now. It’s been a mess, honestly, mostly due to some issues with my last club—specifically the coach—and some family stuff too.
Let's be real here, I'm probably not exactly God's gift to the sport when it comes to facing top-tier players, haha.
But, I mean, I can definitely hold my own on the pitch and I always leave everything out there. I give it 110% every single time.

The reason I'm even posting this is because it would seriously mean the world if anyone here knew someone with connections to clubs—whether they're based here in the States or overseas—who might be able to set up a trial or something along those lines...
If anyone has a lead, I'd really appreciate you reaching out. And please, just keep it real with me—I'm looking for actual help, not some kind of joke. Thanks a ton.

As far as I know, you just hit up a club and ask for a tryout. It helps if you’ve got some scouting reports or maybe some game footage to show them...

If that’s really the move, then cool, I guess... but there’s this one massive headache hanging over me—all I actually have left from my old club is like, two or three measly photos, and that's literally it. Honestly, I'm not even sure if that's enough leverage to somehow talk the board into letting me run a trial or something..

Honestly, you just walk straight up to the front office of whatever club you're eyeing and ask for a trial.
It’s way easier if you already have a buddy on the roster who can put in a good word for you or at least head over there with you so you don't look like some random guy off the street. You’ll likely get your shot right before preseason kicks off, and you’ll basically have about a week to prove you aren't a total waste of space so they actually sign you to a contract or whatever deal you're chasing. If you actually nail it, you're riding with them through the whole preseason tour.

Bottom line is, you better be in game shape already and ready to demand that tryout, though it helps if you've got a resume or some kind of "recommendation" from guys already on the team to back you up.
