Finally—a Jason Statham flick that isn't just mindless action—mostly because... it’s actually based on a true story.
It’s about this massive bank robbery in the States—one of the biggest ever, maybe even more than that famous train heist—and officially, it's still sitting there as an unsolved case.
Everything is so intertwined it’s wild—honestly hard to believe a screenwriter's life can make things look this complicated 🙂

Definitely worth a watch.

Wait, I haven't heard about this one yet!! I absolutely love him—even if his movies are basically total brain candy, just pure action... but man, he’s perfect for that kind of stuff!! Definitely adding this to my watchlist!!

They mean the great train heist.
There’s a movie; I think ABC aired it a few times. There's even a documentary featuring one of the guys who pulled it off—he's living somewhere down south in the States now (assuming he's still kicking), and honestly, good for him. He's living the life.😉

Wait, are you talking about that 1979 flick?! You know, the one with Conan Kennedy!

It’s a decent enough flick—it just needs about an hour of my life to actually get moving 🙂

A really enjoyable movie... an interesting story, though I have no idea how much of it is actually factual versus Hollywood embellishment... I’m just certain an American studio would have completely ruined it, just like they do with all those other "based on a true story" plots...

Just... Statham playing a normal role for once.🙂
I don't even consider him a bad actor... (quite the opposite, he's proven himself pretty talented in those Guy Ritchie films...) it's just his absolutely terrible track record when it comes to picking which movies to star in...

Anyway, all in all, it's a good film...

He would make an incredible action star, which he already proved in The Transporter. He just needs two or three heavy hitters—something along the lines of Terminator II or True Lies—to truly cement his status as an action hero. It feels like we don't have many genuine action leads left these days.

Look, the guy’s just having a blast!! He clearly loves playing these types of roles and doesn't give a damn about building some "prestige" career... even if most of these movies are total trash, we still tune in just to see him roll! 🙂 And honestly? The studios keep handing him these parts on a silver platter... that's the real kicker!!

Honestly, the man is a legend when it comes to movies—I'm talking about his run with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Mean Machine, The Transporter, Transporter 2, Revolver, Chaos, Crank, and The Bank Job. I’ve sat through every single one of them, and while he’s brilliant in the great ones, he has this strange, almost supernatural ability to carry the mediocre ones too... it's like he can take total garbage and somehow make it slightly less terrible, if you catch my drift.

Everything else is garbage... I agree... even The Italian Job is trash...

I’m fairly certain even The Transporter would be absolute garbage if it weren't for him—it’s mediocre as it stands, sure, but there's a certain charm to it; you just have to sit back, use your brain, and enjoy the ride. As for Chaos, it’s just a decent enough flick—reminds me of The Bank Job, if my memory serves me right.

Hell yeah!! It’s pretty damn obvious he isn't making movies just to bank some prestige award at the end of his life—he’s filming what actually interests him, and clearly, he's good at it!! Look, even if the movies are total trash, a guy should do what he loves. Personally, I'll watch whatever this guy puts out, no matter what.😁😁
