"Per The New York Times, Hans-Ulrich Maik, the managing director of Ilmor, the Mercedes-owned company that manufactures The team's engines, is being cast as the 'scapegoat' for what has been a truly dismal start to the season.
Such is The sense of frustration mounting AT Mclaren that The newspaper even reckons that , rather Than nurse his sick Engine during The early stages of The Bahrain GP, Kimi Raikkonen decided to hammer the throttle—essentially 'pumping fuel onto a fire'—just to see if he could coax that Mercedes-Benz V10 to erupt in a spectacular blaze right behind him.
I suppose that’s the end of us calling Kimi Raikkonen 'The Iceman,' isn't it?
"
It seems our 'Iceman' isn't quite as cool-headed as we thought... I still remember back in Malaysia when he lost his temper and took out that official just because he happened to be standing in the wrong spot. To be fair, you have to sympathize with him a little... dealing with three or four blown engines... anyone would be losing their mind at the manufacturer.
But there is a curious point here... why didn't David experience engine failures nearly as often? Perhaps young Kimi Raikkonen hasn't quite mastered the art of shifting gears yet?
😁 😁 😁 😁
Maybe the FIA should consider adding a footnote to the automatic transmission regulations specifically for those 'junior drivers' who haven't quite learned how to handle them properly.
And here is another bit of news:
"BAR's latest aero development - designed by Technical Director Geoff Willis, who was lured to the team from Williams three years ago - has been deemed illegal by the FIA. They judged it to include an illegal 'third element'."
It looks like Williams might have been feeling a bit intimidated by BAR... if this had been a case involving Ferrari and those tire issues from last season, people would be shouting about Ferrari not playing fair, but since it's this situation, everyone seems perfectly fine with it.🙄 🙄
That is all from me for now... heading off to Imola...
(Looking back at the results after Imola... Michael Schumacher had 4 pole positions and 4 wins)
Forza Ferrari!!!
