There is something so gut-wrenching about watching a young athlete finally get their big break, only to have it snatched away by a freak physical mishap before they even get a chance to prove themselves. You see these kids working their tails off all summer, thinking they've finally made it to the big leagues, and then one wrong step or one unlucky landing changes everything.
It honestly makes me wonder about the mental toll this takes on them. It’s one thing to deal with a loss on the field, but it’s a whole different beast when your body just fails you at the worst possible moment. How do you even stay motivated during those months of rehab when you're watching your peers take the field and build momentum without you?
Do you think the mental recovery is actually harder than the physical rehab for these guys?
