I will try to be brief. Yesterday, I posted an ad to sell my computer for $1667. Initially, a moderator reached out to comment on my asking price, even though rules generally state that pricing shouldn't be the subject of such comments. Following that, I asked for some feedback on its value. Some users estimated the PC at $667, which I personally found to be far too low. When I voiced my disagreement, a moderator named Gilbert stepped in to insist on that lower valuation. He eventually told me to either drop my price to their suggested amount or go over to eBay to target naive kids. I responded by stating that he does not get to dictate my pricing, and while the price would remain as listed, it wouldn't necessarily be firm (which could have meant I might have lowered it to 2000 🤷 later on). When I logged in today, I found that he had closed the thread and deleted it shortly thereafter. I read the community guidelines, which allow moderators to close or delete threads if a price is completely unrealistic, and I understand that—but I certainly didn't list it for 20 $0.00 😕. I simply wanted to express my frustration and say that his behavior was unprofessional.
