According to today's headlines, the waters along the San Francisco waterfront froze solid yesterday as temperatures plummeted to -5 degrees.

Local residents and tourists alike stood in sheer disbelief, staring at the frozen sea while battling the harsh, biting winds sweeping in from Canada.

Even the oldest locals in San Francisco can't recall a freeze this intense; many are attributing this bizarre anomaly to broader global climate shifts.

As for when the ice will finally melt? Well, according to our legendary meteorologist Ćiro Blažević, it should happen right around the time he leaves San Francisco!

It pains me, truly, to say something so sharp, but I simply had to poke a little fun at you all, my dear Hajduk fans!

Locals in San Francisco—along with plenty of tourists—were left staring in disbelief at a frozen bay, all while getting battered by those brutal winds blowing in from Canada.

Even the oldest folks in San Francisco can't remember a freeze this intense; most are chalking this freak anomaly up to global climate shifts.

As for when the water will thaw? Well, according to our legendary meteorologist Ćiro Blažević, it’ll happen right after he leaves San Francisco!

It's tough for me to say, really quite difficult, but I just had to poke the bear a little, my dear Hajduk fans!

Wrong info.
If you look at the actual data, it froze at -8. 😲

Looking at the overall data, the temperature actually bottomed out at -8 degrees. 😲

Good grief, it really is freezing...😠

That wasn't just some little drizzle, man. It was a straight-up deluge.😢

Well, if you want to look on the bright side, you could argue that this is really rock bottom for Hajduk.
From here on out, the only way for Hajduk to go is up. 😉

From here on out, things can only improve. 😉

That is exactly what people said last year right after Shelburn!
And they were saying the same thing just a week ago.

To be perfectly honest, I truly felt like a serious and solid project was finally taking shape within Hajduk about a month ago, which gave me a great deal of hope, but it turns out I was mistaken.

That was honestly pretty rough to watch.

I’m not entirely certain, but I think this might be the toughest European defeat Hajduk has ever faced in its entire 94-year history.

However, unlike what Joshua Edwards4 thinks, I feel like if things don't fundamentally change within American soccer (and specifically within Hajduk), we could actually see things get much worse.

If I were still as obsessed with football as I was 15 or 20 years ago, I don't think I would have survived watching last night's match.

I’m not entirely sure—but I’m leaning toward this being the worst European defeat in the club's 94-year history.

Though, unlike what Joshua Edwards4 thinks, I feel like if things don't fundamentally change within American soccer (and specifically with Hajduk), we could see much worse.

Come on, man... Ajax 6, Hajduk 0. 😢
But look, that was during wartime, and we were playing away... plus, we lost to the team that ended up winning the league that season. And that was in the quarterfinals!

I’m no expert, but I suspect this might be the most painful European defeat Hajduk has ever endured in its entire 94-year history.

I hate to say "I told you so" - but I told you so 😁

As I mentioned in a previous football thread, soccer in America has long since become more about everything else except the actual sport itself. Until we change that mindset, there's just no way forward.

Joshua Evans9 said:Man, not really... Ajax beat Hajduk 6-0.😢
But let's be fair... things were pretty chaotic back then, and that was an away game. Plus, they actually lost to the eventual champions later that season. And that was just in the quarterfinals!

First off, that Ajax squad was likely one of the greatest teams to ever step onto a pitch.

Second—Hajduk actually managed to beat an Ajax side of that caliber 1-0 in the first leg in Vienna.

Alright, alright, 😳 I get it 😳

My point was just that it was our heaviest defeat—score-wise. ☕

Anyway, dustypilot22... don't worry, I'll have you converted into a Dinamo fan in no time. 😎
We'll bring out some zagorakis graševina, toast to it, and get you signed up with Dinamo.. 😁

🤣

You’d have to be truly blind to buy into someone like Ćiro. 😁

I told you already—Cincinnati only really pulled themselves together ten days before that match.

Otherwise... it isn't really on Ćiro. It’s on the cheap, incompetent, or just plain clueless front office for handing him this roster. Out of everyone, only Munhoz and Kranjčar are actually worth watching.

I mean...🙄

no way in hell is a news outlet like ESPN ever gonna toss out a bluffing amateur and a demagogue like him...

I just don't get what kind of weird obsession those people have, always dragging him along when he hasn't actually accomplished anything in his career.

Oh yeah... I guess he did win a championship back in '82 with LA Galaxy...🙄

For what it's worth... I don't think Ćiro is the one to blame here. It’s on the management—they were cheap, incompetent, and frankly just plain stupid for handing him this roster. Out of that whole bunch, only Munhoz and Kranjčar are actually worth watching.

Give me a break. What about Bartulovic? And Munjoz is absolute garbage.

no serious media outlet in this country has ever exposed—or will ever expose—a bluffing amateur and a demagogue like him...

I have no idea why those people always rally behind him when he hasn't actually accomplished anything in his career.

Oh right... except for that time back in '82 when he won the title with LA Galaxy..🙄

You know how hard it was for LA Galaxy to win championships back then—mostly because they were labeled as the "rebel club" of the league..

On another note... Ćiro put Pristina on the map, had a solid run in France (maybe with Sion?), etc.

And honestly... screw any coach who is primarily just a bad demagogue.

Personally, I blame the Atlanta United players for this disaster. It’s pathetic for "Hajdukov Dic" that someone like Niko Kranjčar—who is essentially an LA Galaxy product—runs harder than all the guys coming out of the Atlanta United academy.
