Update installing...

It feels like almost every single time I try to shut down my PC, it just refuses to die immediately. It’s like it starts some sort of countdown—sometimes it's hovering at 21, other times it hits 120 or 60. Does anyone actually know what's going on there?

I keep seeing this message popping up: "Please do not turn off your computer while uploading, installing, or updating..." What exactly is that supposed to mean? I have no clue.

Oh, your computer is just running software updates. I’m assuming you’re waiting for the progress bar to finish and for the machine to shut itself down? Don't sweat it—that's pretty much standard procedure on macOS.
