How on earth do I change this damn avatar? It says I can swap it out after five posts, and believe me, I’ve definitely cleared that hurdle by now. But instead of showing me anything, it just sits there staring at me with "list of available avatars:" followed by absolutely nothing. 😠 😠
What am I even supposed to do about this????

SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

I swap mine out every single month...
never run into an issue.

Just follow these steps:
Options - Edit Options - Change Avatar -
you can upload (just hit browse) -
submit modifications

Watch out for this:
- make sure the image is 50x50 pixels
and uses a standard extension... stick to JPEG.

I’m fairly certain you can't even set an avatar until you hit the fifty-post milestone—and once you do, I assume they let you swap it out more frequently. Looking at your stats, I see you're sitting at 41 right now.
That’s exactly how it played out for me, too!
Oh, and one more thing—definitely watch those image dimensions so it doesn't look wonky.
Anyway, just jump into a few threads, knock out those last few replies, and you'll have that avatar up in no time.

Anyway, once you finally earn the right to use an avatar ☕, you can switch it up every five minutes if you feel like being indecisive.

HELP ME!!!!!

Just find an avatar you actually like that meets the requirements (keep it under 50x50 pixels and maybe 10kB).
The image needs to be hosted online somewhere—just paste the direct URL into that address field.
Save your changes and you're good to go!

The list of available avatars is totally empty.

You need five posts to set an avatar, and you've definitely cleared that hurdle.

As for sizing and dimensions, Equi already covered all that for you.

To swap it out (in your case, to upload a new 😁), just head to your options, select "change avatar," and you'll see these choices:

1. You can enter URL of your avatar:
Note: this will be stored locally on the server

2. You can upload an avatar from your computer:

That's pretty much it.😁
