USB camera issues

Hey guys, so I’ve been using this webcam for Zoom lately, and I’ve run into this super annoying issue out of nowhere. Everything works totally fine at first, but the second I nudge my laptop even a tiny bit to the side, the camera just... disconnects. I get that classic Windows "USB unplugged" sound, and then everything just dies. I actually have to restart the whole thing just to get it working again. I honestly thought maybe my old camera was just dying, so I went ahead and bought a brand new one, but nope—same exact problem. It turns out it wasn't the hardware at all. I've tried plugging it into both of my USB ports, and it happens on both of them. It’s weird because the camera itself seems perfectly fine; as soon as I plug it in, it’s recognized immediately without any drama. But the moment there's even a little movement with the laptop, it unplugs 🤔
. Any idea what could be causing this kind of glitch?

I haven't actually tried that yet, but I just gave it a shot and my mouse is totally fine—it isn't unplugging or anything. It feels like maybe it’s some weird setting tied to the cameras or something similar? Since both cameras keep disconnecting but the mouse stays steady, I guess that's a clue.

It might be an issue with the power settings in the Control Panel.

Control Panel (View by: Category)
> Hardware and Sound > Power Options >
> 'Change plan settings' >
> 'Change advanced power settings' >
> 'USB settings'
- expand (click '+') 'USB settings' option, then expand 'USB selective suspend setting';
- change setting to 'Disabled'.
