USB drive issues

Hey guys, I’m running into a bit of a headache with my USB drive. It was working perfectly fine before, and I actually moved some important files onto it as a backup that I really need right now, but now it just won't open... I've tried everything I can think of to fix these little things, like making sure I installed the latest drivers... The only thing I could figure out is this error code 10 popping up somewhere in the notes

Hopefully someone here has some ideas on what might be going on with it. And please, don't tell me to check under "My Computer," just tell me if it shows up in "Devices and Printers"...

It’s a lost cause, man... this USB drive won't work on any computer I plug it into, but my other one works perfectly everywhere, so it’s definitely not an issue with the PC itself. Also, regarding that part about wiping out all the drivers for every single USB device, I haven't actually done that yet because those instructions were clearly meant for Windows XP and I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop. I probably should've mentioned that earlier 🙂 sorry

I can't get these USB drivers to install properly, I already tried nuking them and doing a clean reinstall but nothing's working, help me out here...

And then... that's it. If it’s still under warranty, just go swap it out. Next time, maybe try saving your data onto a DVD instead... damn.

It’s out of warranty and honestly, the drive is getting pretty old... I'm freaking out because the data on there is huge, like over a week's worth of college coursework I absolutely have to turn in... is there really no other way to get this back?...

It’s tough... if you take it to a data recovery specialist, they'll just give you a reality check that those seven days won't seem nearly as bad once you see the bill. 😁
