I noticed two or three small polyps near my vaginal opening last night. From what I can tell, they look like tiny, soft growths that match the color of the surrounding tissue. I’m planning to see a gynecologist this week, but I wanted to check in here first. Is this something to worry about? Has anyone dealt with this before? I'm curious about how they're typically removed and if the procedure is actually necessary.
Can any general gynecologist handle this, or is a hospital visit required? Also, does anyone have an idea of what the out-of-pocket cost might be for a private removal?
I haven't experienced any pain, unusual discharge, or other symptoms. I did give birth recently—could that possibly be a factor?
If anyone has gone through this, I would truly appreciate any insight you can share.

I actually just asked about this myself because I gave birth a few months ago, and the area where my incision was is swollen too. My OBGYN said it’s just some excess tissue that needs to be cauterized, so if you had an episiotomy, that might be what's happening. Either way, definitely go get it checked out by your doctor.

I didn't end up needing an episiotomy, but I did suffer a small tear—just a few stitches. I’ve heard stories about people eating wild game causing issues, but I always assumed that stuff only happened immediately after delivery. I gave birth ten months ago and hadn't noticed any growths until now. It feels strange that they're just showing up today.
To be fair, they are located right near where my tear was.

How do you even fix this? It sounds absolutely awful!

I have no clue. I haven't even gone yet myself. I'm still getting ready...🤣
I reached out to a few private clinics, but everyone just pointed me toward the hospital. I guess it depends on how much it costs, what the root cause is, and what all that stuff entails. It hasn't been that long since I had my baby either 🤷
If you figure anything out or get it sorted, let me know how it went.
