Verbatim 3.5'' external hard drive

I'm looking to pick up an external drive. I’ve been having some issues lately with Verbatim... 😁 I don't really need this for long-term backups; it's mostly just for moving files between computers and temporary storage until my main drives are cleared out 😬

500 GB (roughly $167)

1 TB (roughly $233)

Is it actually worth the money? And more importantly, can I trust it?

Go ahead and cash out, though if you ask me, I’d stick with Seagate rather than Maxtor.

I actually picked up one of their 1.5TB drives with a three-year warranty for about $267 — honestly, I think they’re sitting right at the top of the pack when it comes to reliability these days... maybe even the best in the business if you look at the data...

--not sure if the pricing is identical here in the States, since I grabbed mine over at a Best Buy back in Austria.🙂
