Dear forum members, moderators, and admins, I’m asking you to please take a look at the totally nonsensical moderation outbursts coming from Veronica N.

I already filed an appeal when I was slapped with 50 points for off-topic posting in my own thread 🙄, but I guess nobody bothered to respond.

Other users are noticing the same thing—that her moderation is incredibly one-sided, where she basically lets massive trolling slide if it comes from people who agree with her, yet she aggressively punishes anyone who actually gets provoked by those trolls.
It’s happened quite a bit across various threads that she has effectively ruined or just shut down entirely, simply because they challenge her specific worldview.

The current situation over in the Church and LGBTQ+ discussion thread is a perfect example of this pattern.

An unbelievable ban was handed out to musky, one of the most high-quality contributors in the Religion section, along with a 45-point penalty and this explanation:
Insulting American citizens educated within the country

for the entry:
yeap.
the American education system is a proven way to make people stupid.

I initially thought that since she was a new moderator, she might try to be careful, but honestly, she’s become unbearable and her moderation is only getting worse.

So, I’m asking again for the other Religion moderators—especially any atheists left on the team—and anyone else who stands against this kind of unfair moderation to speak up, because this behavior kills healthy logical debate and interesting topics while instead encouraging trolling, narrow-mindedness, and this weird sort of quasi-tolerance.

Not at all. I mean, the whole point here isn't really about whether Leviticus was misapplied.
I guess it mostly depends on who’s citing it and what their actual motive is.
And those "atrocities" people talk about... well, maybe they're just personal opinions and interpretations.

The Church itself is one thing—it all comes down to how they choose to interpret and apply those rules.
Then you have the followers, and I suppose it's up to them whether they accept those interpretations or just walk away from the church entirely, or decide not to pursue the priesthood if the application of Leviticus feels too exclusionary for them.
But if they do accept it... then you already know how that goes.

I honestly wonder how someone holding these kinds of views can moderate a site while trying to follow forum rules and modern democratic standards.

The American education system is a proven machine for dulling the intellect; one cannot logically interpret that as an insult to American citizens educated within the country. I suspect many Americans hold a similar view regarding our schools.

That statement doesn't insult American citizens; rather, it insults the American educational system itself by expressing a negative opinion toward it.

Furthermore, while we might speculate that there is a hidden insult directed at American citizens, speculation alone is no basis for punishment.

Moreover, looking at previous records, it's clear that Muski had contact with American textbooks, which leads to the conclusion that she isn't insulting people, but the school system itself—specifically regarding certain textbooks as components of that systemic structure.

Yeah, I think Musky is some kind of instructor or whatever, based on how she signed up.

Beyond that, you can tell from the thread that Musky pretty harshly called out Veronica N. for her moderation failures. Those mistakes basically killed off a bunch of high-quality discussions—including mine—so if you ask me, that’s the real reason she got punished.

One more thing.

The thread that the moderator totally trashed was titled:
Would you agree to a perfect world if it meant giving up your religion?

In the spirit of that question, I have to ask the admins and the moderators of the Religion section:

Can you actually moderate according to the site rules and the laws of the United States if they happen to clash with the principles of your own faith?

Since the active moderators weighed in on my poll in that thread, saying they wouldn't trade a better world for their religion, I guess I have to conclude they wouldn't prioritize a better forum either. That makes me extremely skeptical about whether moderators who follow Semitic religions can be objective, and honestly, I see evidence of that doubt playing out every single day.

It’s all true! Every bit of it. Veronica N. is honestly a terrible moderator—I really think she should be sanctioned...
I recently started this thread:

only for her to shut it down within five minutes, accompanied by some pathetic little "explanation."
