Vestibular neuritis / balance issues

A few days ago, someone really close to me just got hit out of nowhere with this massive wave of vertigo, coupled with a killer headache, vomiting, and that soul-crushing exhaustion that just won't quit. They rushed through all the ER tests, and we finally got the results back today—turns out it's inflammation of the vestibular nerve. The doctor put them on Meclizine and Neurobion. I've been scouring the web but I'm having a hard time finding anything specific about this exact combo or condition, so if anyone here actually knows their stuff, could you let me know how serious we're talking? Any potential complications or maybe a solid link that explains this better?

Nah, nothing like that—no ringing or hearing issues at all, and the doctors confirmed everything looks clean on the tests.

If you don't have that, then honestly, you're doing alright. I've been dealing with this constant ringing in my ears for about seven years now, and every once in a while, I get these similar symptoms too, and I just can't seem to shake them off no matter what I try.

What’s the word from the doctors? Have you tried any actual treatment yet?

It could be coming from your spine, but there are plenty of other possibilities—honestly. You should probably start with a full neurological workup just to be safe.
