www.thefillmore.com: We are pleased to announce that The Fillmore will be hosting the legendary American rockers Violent Femmes in Chicago on April 24th. Due to capacity constraints at The Fillmore, the performance will instead take place at Madison Square Garden.

I won't even get started on how Madison Square Garden is easily the most underwhelming venue for shows in NYC—honestly, it's a total letdown.

Just another early riser looking to get high before the sun's even up—it's become a bit of a ritual at this point.

Look, it doesn't matter because I genuinely love them... but honestly, whenever I hear about a concert like that, I start saving up way in advance. I tuck that money away so it doesn't get wasted on something else I might actually need later.😁 Like some skin cream... 😁

I think you've got it wrong. If this turns out to be anything like the show I saw about a year ago over in London, trust me—that nostalgic trip back to the Violent Femmes era is totally worth the $67 you mentioned.
The vibes from that night were insane; that kind of energy hits you so hard you can still feel it a week later.

Just go and enjoy it.

I’ll consider it—if my bank account allows. March or April should be a pretty solid window for shows in NYC... though honestly, I’d much rather spend that same budget on three smaller gigs—say, Notwist, Xiu Xiu, and M. gira—than blow it all on one Femms show. Since Madison Square Garden is such a money pit, ticket prices will likely end up 30-$17 higher than they would at any other venue.

Beyond that... I’m still waiting to experience a single decent concert at that place. The negative energy radiating from Madison Square Garden is actually hard to believe—that venue is in desperate need of a serious Feng Shui exorcism. 😁

Anyway—just my thoughts.
