Hey everyone! So, here’s my situation: back in March, I ended up breaking my left hand—specifically the fourth and fifth metacarpals—and since the fourth one was actually dislocated, they had to go ahead with surgery to install a plate and some screws, which I had done over at Mayo Clinic. I’ve been keeping up with all my regular follow-up appointments and everything seems to be healing perfectly fine, so now the doctor says I should head back in toward the end of August to get all that hardware removed, since he mentioned the six-month mark is when we usually do that. Honestly though, I’m starting to get a little anxious about whether I’ll be able to get an appointment scheduled quickly enough because I really need to get my life back on track and head off to college, and to make matters even more complicated, I’m a lefty 🤣
