War profiteers

This user has been stirring the pot for weeks now, peddling lies and exaggerating the situation in Germany regarding COVID politics.

Every report I’ve filed has gone nowhere. His lies stay on the thread, and I haven't seen him banned once.

Take his claim from this morning...

My response is right after that post. It shows his information is outdated and, therefore, false—something I’ve already had to explain to him several times before.

It’s clear the guy is either intentionally trolling, playing dumb, or just straight-up trying to spread misinformation.

This isn't the first time I've given him a detailed breakdown of the situation in Germany. He could understand if he actually wanted to. Instead, he just wants to incite people and throw around labels like Hitler or fascist. He doesn't want reality; he wants lies and hyperbole.

As far as I know, trolling is against the rules, and so is playing stupid.
I’ve actually taken a warning from the moderators for trolling myself.

Check out the thread in the link above. You'll see he just blindly asserts his lies, ignoring every link provided that proves him wrong.

If you only read the headline, you’ll never understand anything. Here is what your own link actually says:

"Retailers—with the exception of grocery stores, pharmacies, and drugstores—may only admit customers who present a negative coronavirus test and have a pre-arranged appointment."

Now he's pivoted to claiming you couldn't even go to a drugstore without a test and an appointment... which is just as much of a lie as the first claim.

Look, people are going to share their views here, even if those views happen to be incorrect or perhaps even dishonest at times, but this is just an online forum rather than a court of law where one might require absolute, irrefutable evidence. I suppose the whole point of most forums is to allow for a diverse exchange of different perspectives, instead of having a single, monolithic opinion forced upon everyone.

There is a massive difference between an opinion and a lie.

If someone claims a policy is stupid when that policy isn't even active—and never was—then their opinion is moronic. But claiming a nonexistent policy actually exists? That’s a lie.

Listen, I've sent him links and explanations more times than I can count. Others have too.

He pulls outdated info from articles from last April or December and insists it's current law. He’s inventing regulations out of thin air.

The guy clearly has some issues; he's blatantly spreading falsehoods and exaggerating everything.

He even posted a link to a video claiming "no vaccine, no food," treating it as gospel when the video is obviously fake. Once you see what kind of links someone is sharing, you know exactly which corners of the internet they frequent.

Saying something wrong once might be ignorance or a mistake. Repeating a lie constantly is incitement or trolling, and that’s against the rules.

If you claim A and I claim B, we drop a link, and one of us is proven wrong. Someone will make an excuse, someone won't, but that's how it works 99% of the time.

But this guy? After being shown that it's A and not B, he pivots to C, then D, then comes back to B a few days later. That isn't an "exchange of ideas." It's pure moving the goalposts. It's trolling, it's lying, call it whatever you want.

The situation over in Germany is getting pretty wild; people are absolutely fed up with all these lockdowns and they're basically just itching to get out of there.

Look, this isn't about any one specific topic or any particular person here—I'm just speaking generally because I haven't been keeping up with everything—but from what I've seen across different boards, the rules seem pretty loose. In my experience, people lying through their teeth about stuff you can easily fact-check, or even making up total nonsense about other users, hardly ever gets them in any real trouble. It’s weird.

It honestly feels like it works that way... I actually tried to vent about it in my signature once. Didn't really change anything, obviously, but at least I got it off my chest.

I suppose you'll just move all this bickering over to the FBI's doorstep.
