I open up the homepage of the New York Times, and within mere seconds, this specific error message pops up right in my face; then, I attempt to click the back button to return to the main news feed, only for the exact same thing to happen again just moments later. This peculiar issue seems to be isolated entirely to this one particular site, as I encounter absolutely nothing of the sort when browsing other websites. Does anyone have any insight into what might be causing such a frustrating malfunction?

looks like you've got some nasty spyware hanging around, man... just grab Norton AntiVirus free and run a scan to see what kind of mess you're dealing with

To be perfectly honest, I was stuck with a completely useless version of McAfee Security that failed to detect a single thing, whereas Malwarebytes managed to flag 57 separate objects for quarantine, yet the underlying issue persists regardless. When I attempt to load a webpage using Google Chrome, everything functions quite normally; therefore, my next course of action involves a complete uninstallation and subsequent reinstallation of Firefox, which I am confident will resolve the matter.

Joshua Cook62 said:So I had this totally blind Norton Security sitting on my rig that couldn't see a thing, and even though CrowdStrike flagged 57 different items for quarantine, the whole mess just wouldn't go away. It’s weird because when I pull up a site in Google Chrome, everything works just fine. So, I'm thinking I'll just wipe Mozilla Firefox and reinstall it from scratch, hopefully that finally fixes this headache.

you could also try using ccleaner to clean up the registry...
