If Michael Schumacher, Alonso, or Montoya had been stuck driving a Minardi all season, do you honestly think they would've achieved anything different?
What kind of team would Minardi even be back then?
Look at Pedro de la Rosa. He spent forever grinding in absolute junk cars, and then he jumps into a McLaren and turns out he’s actually legit—fastest guy on track. But when he was stuck in that slow car, he was just dead last.
Would things have played out any differently if one of those legends were in his shoes?

Rosa Parks wasn't always stuck driving some absolute junk heap of a car.

As for the rest of your questions; I really don't have anything to say about them. 🙄

He never really did anything worth mentioning.
Still, you gotta realize Peter Jer had zero leverage here.
Since Montoya is coming back...
But whatever... He's a decent driver, he just never actually pulled through before.

Rosa Parks never really achieved anything significant because he was just an average driver. Nothing more.

Why did five pretty solid drivers fail to keep up in this race?
So you're saying it’s all about the car...

I mean, even Shumi is just an average driver at best...

They’d definitely pull off something meaningful if they were sitting in a Red Bull seat—that team isn't exactly a pushover when facing the giants. But trying to be that much faster in a Minardi? It’s just impossible. Honestly, it feels like they're trying to break the laws of physics at this point.

Red Bull's got a decent car
Not this one, though...

I mean, look at Minardi or BAR Honda right now
Those things are absolute trash🙂

Too bad for BAR...

Look, one lucky race doesn't suddenly make someone an elite driver. He just caught a break. If a couple more cars had dropped out due to mechanical failures, we might have seen Rosa standing on the podium, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

If you really want an answer to that, just look at what happened to Jacques over at BAR—he’s nowhere to be found now, and honestly? It’s because if I were the one calling the shots, I would’ve built a much better car in the first place.😁

...Look, I don't know how much "luck" was involved, but there was definitely some... though you can't really call it luck when he's driving a car that's clearly faster than the rest of the field. I mean, did you see him hunting down Button after his excursion? Even Barrichello couldn't catch him, and he actually went off track! Then he spent the whole time breathing down Webber's neck... McLaren finally has a fast car on their hands, and Rosa was basically pushing it to the limit because, being a test driver, he's put in endless hours of testing—so he probably knew exactly how much grip he could squeeze out of it. Still, he showed he's a bit green since he kept clipping the same corner over and over.

As for this thread—man, I’d love to see the big names driving for Minardi or Jordan, while these little guys get seats at Ferrari, Renault, or McLaren... honestly, it would be pure comedy.

Honestly, I wish we could just throw every single driver into the exact same car—let's say a Minardi—and then we’d finally see who actually has the talent and who's just riding coattails.

As for Rosa, I don't know, I think he's a perfectly fine driver, he's just way too aggressive sometimes, which isn't exactly news... if anyone even remembers those wild crashes he used to have back in the day, you know, back when Jordan was actually a serious contender instead of what they are now.😢 😢 😢 😢 😢

I have a gut feeling that Montoya might pull out of the next race due to those engine issues. Pedro really pushed that Mercedes to its absolute limit today, so I suspect Huan might not be entirely thrilled with how aggressive he was driving.😁

Aaron Palmer55 said:Why did she pass so many talented drivers during this race?

Sure, there was the showmanship aspect and the race itself was certainly more entertaining, BUT if you look at the actual circumstances:
First off, she overtook Sato... who ended up retiring after completely burning through his front left brake disc. Then she moved past Button, who also had to pull out due to that clutch issue he'd been dealing with since the start, along with his brake problems. She also passed Webber, who absolutely shredded his tires after that excursion off track—he even mentioned after the race how much the car was vibrating. And let's not forget she went past Rubens, who was struggling without sixth gear and having those nasty gearbox shifts from second to third, all while fighting on Bridgestone rubber...

If she had happened to be running close to Kimmi, Ralf, or Trulli, I honestly doubt she would have managed to make any moves at all...

As for Rosa, he’s alright in my book, just a little too aggressive. He’s always been like that... if you can even remember his old crashes back when Jordan was actually a decent team.😢 😢 😢 😢 😢

That's the only way we'd ever figure out who the real best is.

Aaron Palmer55 said:That would finally settle the debate on who the absolute best really is.

Even if you managed to put every single driver into an identical car, you still wouldn't actually know who the best one is. Why? Well, it comes down to preference. One driver might thrive with a bit of oversteer, while another prefers dealing with understeer. Some people want a soft, compliant setup, whereas others demand something much stiffer. There are all these tiny nuances that change everything... even something as simple as being slightly off on your tire pressure, and suddenly you're losing half a second per lap.

Man, what a joke 😁
Turns out they're back at 90% capacity in the car again
And that’s total crap
Because the drivers aren't even showing what they've actually got

Something along those lines... though honestly, we'd have a much clearer picture if we actually knew how every driver truly stacks up, but that's just not the case right now...

It would be far more interesting if they just put everyone behind the wheel of a 1978-era car... then you could actually judge who has the talent. Back then, you didn't have all this complex aerodynamics, or those "grooved" tires, or any of this modern electronic nonsense...

If everyone jumped in at once, we wouldn't have a race car—we'd have a school bus.😬
