What's the real difference between i7 processors?

i7 4720 vs. 6700
Which one should I go with if I'm running Corel? I also play a bit of World of Tanks on the side...

I'll give you this: the 6700 is newer, so it follows those modern trends like better efficiency and running cooler. Honestly, there's no point in obsessing over comparing them too closely. One benchmark might give one an edge, while another app favors the other. It's all relative.

Look, the N550 is a solid machine. The graphics are fine for gaming, though it’d be a lot better if they paired it with a 960M since those have faster memory. But hey, if you can't find one, it's not the end of the world.

I’m weighing my options between an N550 setup—running an i7 4720 paired with a 950m 2GB—and the N552, which jumps up to an i7 6700 and a 950m 4GB...
There isn't any version available with the 960m, unfortunately. For my needs, I'm mostly just running World of Tanks or WoW, and then some Corel work on the side.
