I don't really have anyone else to ask since there aren't any decent forums popping up on the major search engines, so I figured I'd reach out to my favorite moderator, Nica. It’s been a minute—I've been working abroad earning dollars for a while now—so I don't want to be a burden, but I wanted to finally drop this question. I still think this is the best forum out there. Like I said, Nica, I haven't checked in here for ages, so I hope I catch you before you head off to see the boss; we're getting close to the end of this forum's run anyway.
To get straight to it, what does Lady Nica actually think about this place? And more importantly, what does she think about the endless battles with those few trolls (even if I stay on the sidelines just to read)
who love to criticize her role in protecting free speech and maintaining the standards here,
acting like they're experts on how things should be handled.
Setting aside any flattery toward Nica (though I'd definitely pick my favorites),
I honestly feel like we need more tolerance and patience. We need to be able to say, "I'm not going to argue with you, I'm just trying to understand," and then actually have a conversation.
