Just like the title says.
Basically, I didn't even start this thread myself—some other guy on the forum did. I can't even remember his handle or what the actual topic was, but it was all about how two of the ministers in this administration are completely useless.

Thanks.

And how exactly do you expect an answer to a question phrased like that??

The guy who hit delete knows he hit delete. Right?

...honestly, it’s just like that person who noticed something went missing but couldn't even be bothered to remember the thread title or the author's name...
...look, you can't really expect everyone to suddenly go digging through all the junk and old archives just because they caught a glimpse of something interesting...
...besides, there's a much better chance those posts were just moved into an existing thread...
...and anyway, the original author always has the option to just check their own profile, where every single one of their posts is listed right there...

It doesn't necessarily mean it was deleted. It could have been merged into a similar thread or just moved to a different PDF file.

I think it actually got nuked because I can't find the posts I wrote in that thread anywhere in my archive. Either the whole topic was moved somewhere else, or someone just went through and scrubbed my two comments specifically.

Next time you have a question, please try to be a bit more thorough when you post it. It would make getting a helpful answer much easier, since this one is nearly impossible to address accurately.

Why all this unnecessary nitpicking? If he can't find his own posts within a specific thread when using the search function, it simply means the entire thread has been bundled into some invisible PDF—which is, frankly, complete garbage. All you really need to do is head over to his profile, check his most recent activity, and look for those posts made within a junk thread... and there you have it, you'll find exactly where they are.

When threads get moved over to the Trash folder, they completely vanish from a user's profile, along with all their posts. That means unless someone explicitly spells it out, we’re left totally guessing which specific topic they're actually referring to.

Besides, if you're going to file an appeal, you really ought to be crystal clear about what you're contesting. It shouldn't be up to someone else to dig through a mountain of PDFs just to play detective and figure out what the author is even talking about! Since the person who started this whole thing doesn't even seem to know which thread they're looking for, I'm going ahead and closing this topic. They can always reach back out once they remember exactly what the issue was.

I actually took some time to comb through the first page of both the Trash and Politics sections to see if the thread had been relocated or deleted, but I couldn't find anything that matched the description in the original post. Honestly, since I have no clue when the thread "disappeared," I don't even know what timeframe I should be searching through.
