Who do I contact?

Ever since I cleared up that flu, I’ve been stuck with this nagging dry cough and chest pain that radiates up toward my neck and over to the right side. On top of that, there’s this constant sensation of a lump in my throat, making swallowing feel difficult. My doctor basically brushed it off because my blood work came back normal, but I can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. It's becoming increasingly hard to ignore.
Which specialist should I be seeing, and what could these symptoms actually point to? 😕

Your primary care doctor is supposed to jump on those symptoms no matter what. Just a heads-up though—sometimes they might write it off as just stress or something psychosomatic, especially if you mention that weird "lump in your throat" feeling.

Honestly, I’d just go 🙂 back to the doctor and really press them to explain things clearly. Don't be afraid to insist on a referral to a specialist if you aren't getting answers.

I'm starting to think I'll need to see an internist, and once that's sorted, it's time to find a new doctor.
