I was watching some old highlights last night and realized how much I actually miss seeing certain faces on the field every single day. It’s funny how you can go from being a die-hard supporter of a specific person to feeling this weird, empty void when they suddenly aren't part of the lineup anymore.
I think we tend to forget that these teams are basically revolving doors. As a fan, you start viewing a roster as a group of "your guys," but the reality is just business. It’s hard to reconcile the emotional connection you have with a player's personality or their clutch moments against the cold, hard logic of a front office making moves.
When a veteran or a fan favorite gets moved, does it change how you view the team's direction, or do you just try to move on to the next era immediately?
