Why was my post deleted?

A little over a week ago, while following the news about the current presidential elections in Mexico, I posted that the Mexican people are acting like a completely backwards nation because their entire race for the presidency seems to boil down to just two ultra-nationalists (Šešelj and Vučić)

My post ended up getting deleted, and honestly, I’m not quite sure why. If you ask any moderator around here, calling out a whole nation's collective mindset regarding their political choices should be perfectly fine within our guidelines.

So, much like the usual jokes about border walls, sarcasm regarding small budgets, or any number of other tropes, criticism is perfectly acceptable—even if the tone gets a bit sharper—provided it is directed at oneself. By that logic, surely some American on an American forum writes that their own people are a nation of fools because they are forced to choose between two extremists during an election. We are allowed to label ourselves such when, for instance, we choose a vapid social media influencer over a completely talentless nobody.

In an effort to finally put an end to this endless debating of yours, here is one more analogy: imagine you are playing chess against an American, and after making a terrible move, you call yourself stupid. He does the exact same thing to himself when he blunders. Everything is fine. But if he turns to you and starts calling *you* stupid, a problem arises, and the fact that you already insulted yourself won't make it any better.

I hope you will pack up your little tent and clear out of this thread until a legitimate reason for an appeal actually presents itself.
