WiFi connection issues

So, I am attempting to bridge a signal from one house to another. The primary residence with the active internet connection uses a Netgear Nighthawk, while the receiving house utilizes a Linksys AC Router configured as a repeater. Every time I attempt to connect via the Linksys unit, I am met with a "no internet access" error. Furthermore, when I try connecting my smartphone to the Linksys router, it hangs indefinitely on "obtaining IP address" and fails to establish a connection entirely. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Turn off one of those DHCP servers; they're probably clashing. You can only have one active on a network.

I gave it another shot, but no luck. It looks like this Linksys AC Router just isn't going to perform the way it’s supposed to, and I don't have another range extender on hand to test the theory.

Maybe try flashing DD-WRT onto that Asus? It might actually do the trick!
