What should I go with? 😬

I mean, obviously, I’d love to just be tucked away from everyone else...

So, I'm picking public if I want to stay invisible and private if I want to be seen. It feels a little backwards to me, I guess. Wouldn't it make more sense if it were the other way around?

It sounds a little silly when you say it out loud, but just like the post mentionedβ€”if you set everything to public, you can't really share specific data with others, whereas keeping it private gives you that flexibility.

I think I finally get it... It's all about the network, not just my computer. If the network is public, then I definitely don't want my machine showing up. But if it's private, everything's fine.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I totally thought we were talking about my local profile instead of the network profile, even though it clearly says that. Man, I must be exhausted or something. 🀦

Thanks!

True, and then you’re basically just inviting everyone to share your data over the network... assuming, of course, that you set everything to a private profile.
