Hey everyone! I’m really hoping someone here has run into this exact headache before because I’m officially stumped.

So, I’ve got this T.com web'n'walk dongle that's been configured for the Verizon network, and it works fine elsewhere. On my other desktop, my third computer, and even initially on this specific laptop (a Dell Latitude E6430), it worked just once under Windows 7. But now? Nothing. It won't even recognize the device as a USB stick or a virtual CD drive. It's just totally ghosted me. To make matters weirder, I did a fresh install of Windows 8 on the same laptop, plugged the stick in, and everything was golden—until I ran the official system updates the next day. Now it’s broken again. The laptop sees the stick itself, but the software just hangs indefinitely on "connecting..." It just spins and spins and nothing happens.

Here’s what’s eating at me:

1. How is it even possible that it worked briefly on Windows 7 and then suddenly decided to "block" the USB device entirely? I have scoured the entire internet, tried every single trick in the book that I hadn't already attempted, and honestly, nothing is working. No luck whatsoever.

2. And how can Windows 8 pull the same stunt? After a clean install, the internet stick worked perfectly, but after that official update, the connection just dies, even though the hardware is still visible. I’ve tried to Uninstall and reinstall the drivers, but it didn't do squat.

3. Is there some hidden setting in the OS that just decides, "Nope, you aren't seeing this specific USB stick anymore"???

I have tried everything, and I mean *everything*. If anyone has dealt with this kind of madness, please hit me with some actual, real-world advice. By the way, all my other mobile hotspots, like those from AT&T or similar, work perfectly fine on this same problematic laptop, which makes this whole thing even more infuriating!!!!!!

Thanks a million, guys! Much appreciated.
