Windows apps acting weird

Hey, I’m having trouble launching Windows apps, like the calculator. My taskbar was broken, so I found a fix online and got it working, but now I've run into a new issue that's hard to explain. Some Windows apps, when I hit Start and go into All apps, are tucked away in the Others category—and they're all standard Windows apps. When I try to open them, they just crash after a few seconds. Anyone dealt with this before? How do I fix it? I tried running an update, but no luck. I'm on Windows 10
